What’s something you wish everyone knew about ABA?
It’s about communication and function, not compliance. ABA has evolved so much over the years; it’s a science derived on the principles of behavior and it’s not just for those with autism, but for everyone.

What’s your approach to ABA therapy in one sentence?
Rooted in compassion and empathy, while keeping a client the center of focus, honors each person’s unique strengths and needs.
-
If you weren’t an ABA therapist, what job would you have?
I would have loved to been an editor of some sort. I enjoy being behind the scenes, writing and making edits on other’s work. I feel like I have always had a knack for that sort of stuff whether proof reading emails, research reports, etc. Just sipping away on my coffee or energy drink on my computer; same routine everyday while working on different projects.

What is something that always makes you smile?
Pure joy of others. Whether it’s my nieces being silly, a child laughing at a balloon flying away, or a stranger walking by happily.
