I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, with deep family roots in Tamaulipas and Puebla, Mexico. After graduating high school, I attended the University of Texas at Austin, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Education and later a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from the Steve Hicks School of Social Work.
My early career began in the medical field, working at local community clinics, but the most impactful chapter was at People’s Community Clinic in Austin. There, I served as a mental health therapist, focusing on supporting immigrant populations in transition—a role that deeply shaped my perspective and practice. I also proudly served in the U.S. Army, both part-time and on active duty, for 12 years. Until recently, I continued supporting the military community as the Psychological Health Coordinator for the Texas Army National Guard Behavioral Health program.
Today, I focus full-time on my private practice as a mental health therapist. As a military spouse, I now call Georgetown, Texas, home, where I live with my husband David, our daughters Emma, Penelope, and Lily, and our beloved pets—Faith, our Golden Retriever, and Darwin, our orange tabby.
That all emotions—sadness, anger, guilt, and everything in between—are part of being human. You’re not alone, and there’s strength in reaching out. Healing begins when we stop judging our feelings and start honoring them.
I love using a blend of person-centered therapy, strengths-based approaches, and mindfulness because they help clients feel seen, supported, and capable of growth. I also incorporate EMDR and cognitive behavioral techniques to gently process past trauma, build awareness, and support meaningful, lasting change.
I approach therapy with openness and compassion, believing that everyone holds inner strengths that sometimes just need support to be uncovered.

My happy place
Honestly, I’d be a greeter at Costco—chatting with people, pointing toward the rotisserie chickens, and living my best life one receipt check at a time. Helping people and samples?
Dream job
Seeing my girls go from best friends to “I’m not talking to you” and back again with epic hugs before and after school—it’s like their own little daily soap opera, and I’m here for it!
I really love seeing people grow and change, especially when they finally let go of stuff they’ve been carrying around for way too long. It’s awesome to watch that happen.
